Header Shadow

In terms of physical capacity, Barrow shipyard offers one of the best equipped large warship building facilities in the UK. It is undergoing a £400m modernisation between 2015 and 2022.At present Barrow shipyard assets are focused solely on submarine building but the facilities ultimately may be able to cover a wider remit. The images below show how warships and submarine build can be conducted.

Over 7,000 people  make up the Barrow workforce. They deliver the most sophisticated command and control capability in Europe to the Royal Navy.
